I love these books and the illustrations are gorgeous. I’m going to put some on hold right away from our library. I really love Trina Schart Hymen’s work (esp Little Red Riding Hood) but they are hard to find!

Is that first book a version of Spencer’s Faerie Queen? Looks like a lovely list!

Yep! It’s a retelling of Edmund Spenser’s The Faerie Queen.
